Two Days Until Tomorrow is a ska/punk band from Youngstown, OH, whose mission is to bring ska music to as many listeners as possible through the usage of catchy songs with high-energy live performances.
In June 2011, the members of the band met when their passion for music crossed their inevitable love of performing. The band currently consists of six members:
Frank Toncar- Vocals/ Guitar
Dante Basista- Bass/Vocals
Jerry Runyan- Trumpet
Joe Nidel- Trombone
Braxton Stein- Tombone
Spiro Schialdone- Drums/Vocals
Coming from an area that is rather dry in terms of ska, Two Days Until Tomorrow’s goal is to repopulate the region, and they are certainly on the right path. In highlighting the group, they have performed at the Cleveland House of Blues several times, as well as Peabody’s, and have opened for national acts such as Attack Attack!, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Ballyhoo!, Patent Pending, The Supervillains, Kayavibe, Freshman 15, Sparks the Rescue, and Hollow Drive. They have participated in the Tri-C High School Rock Off at the House of Blues twice, advancing to the “Final Exam” both times. Toncar was also voted “Best Clean Vocalist” in the 2012 Keepin’ It Radio Awards. They are currently performing anywhere from Youngstown to Cleveland to Warren to Akron, spreading the notions of their high-energy music to audiences that are constantly amazed and enlightened by each performance.
Two Days Until Tomorrow has been compared to Streetlight Manifesto, Reel Big Fish, Ballyhoo!, Less Than Jake, and other bands that are currently shaping the face of modern-day ska music; however, the band draws influence from all types of music, as well as from technical training from past ensembles that individual members have been a part of.
In December 2011, they released their first EP, titled Deep, Deep Trouble.
In October 2012, they released their second EP, titled Hornswaggled Hooligans.
On February 10, 2013, they joined Royal 6 Records, for aid with distribution and booking.
In June 2013, they released their third EP, titled What Are You Fighting For?
In July 2013, they went on their first self-booked tour, The Battletour Gallactiska, which included 11 dates in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky.
The high-energy and intense musicality of Two Days Until Tomorrow consistently prove them to be a favorite everywhere they are heard, whether it be from any releases or a live performance.
